Marionnaud, Europe’s largest perfumeries & cosmetics retailer, has built a reputation on the brand’s signature blend of charm and expertise.

A customer-focused organisation, Marionnaud aims to deliver on their brand promise to every customer, in store and online.

Tasks
While working for A.S. Watson, I created concepts and digital design solutions for our b2b and b2c sister companies including Marionnaud Austria, Italy and Romania and The Perfume Shop.

I was closely working with the in-house design team on seasonal digital campaigns and managing junior designers.

Daily tasks were

  • Creating banner ads, coding landing pages and layouting email designs for desktop and mobile.
  • Developing the digital brand voice for ‘Marionnaud’ by considering the brand’s tone of voice and its audience.
  • Daily liaising with the clients directly, executing briefs to a very high standard and thoroughly following the client’s guidelines to deliver impactful user experiences.
  • Illustrating online publications like PDFs and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Teaching Adobe Photoshop to co-workers.

UI/UX

  • Working with a product owner, developers, and testers and completing design tasks within 2 week sprints depending on project’s timeline using Jira as agile project management tool.
  • Designing wireframes and leading all design development stages.

Coding

  • Creating landing pages with HTML & CSS, making sure to deliver the ultimate user experience and to improve the website’s SEO. Implementing the HTML code into the CMS platform, Hybris.
